The Virtual Setup
Virtual loudspeaker setups are helpful when working on channel-based concepts without having the actual setup available or when creating downmixes for channel-based compositions. One way to do this is to place a binaural listening position inside an arrangement of virtual sound sources, each representing a loudspeaker.

Routing and Rendering
When running, for example, a channel-based spatialisation with 8 loudspeakers, all loudspeaker signals are routed from the audio coding environment to the renderer (DAW).
